‘ Water is life: you can’t escape it‘ is a new project that we are starting and we are happy to announce the launching of the first activity.
Any person of legal age, excluding the judges. Participation in this competition implies total acceptance of these rules.
Water and climate change in Mallorca. The photographs must be taken in Mallorca, and the topics can cover water problems or uses, water management, drought, reduced water consumption or waste, or the way in which climate change is related to the water cycle.
Amics de la Terra reserves the right to accept the works according to whether or not they fit the aforementioned theme and a criteria of minimal technical quality.
A photograph and a title that must be a slogan/phrase that promotes a more respectful individual and collective behavior surrounding the consumption and use of water, and/or the greenhouse gas emissions that effect the water cycle.
There is not limit to the amount of photographs with slogans that a contestant can submit. They must be submitted by email to email@example.com specifying the following information:
The photographs must be presented in jpg format, with a size of 30 cm on the longest side of the photo and a resolution of 300 dpi.
Deadline to participate: Photos will be accepted until 25 September, 2016.
The winners will also enjoy the status of member of Amics de la Terra Mallorca for one year.
The photographs submitted will be displayed on the website and social media networks of Amics de la Terra once the September deadline for submission is past.
The jury will be composed of members of the Amics de la Terra Mallorca board of directors and of people experienced in the world of photography.
The jury will make a preliminary selection from among all of the submitted photos. In the last week of September, as soon as the finalists are chosen they will be published online and an open vote will take place on social networks whose results will be taken into consideration by the jury. The winners will be announced the first week of October.
Amics de la Terra reserves the (non-exclusive) right to reproduce any of the participating images in its own informative and promotional supports and display the images in whatever way the organizers see fit.
The participants will be responsible for knowing that there are no third party rights over their works.
The organizers promise to do their part by indicating the name of the author each time the corresponding image is reproduced.
