Constitutional Court takes a step towards shared energy generation

Amics de la Terra considers the judgement an advance for energy self-generation. The Constitutional Court has voided the Real Decreto de Autoconsumo (Energy Self-Generation Royal Decree) article in which shared energy generation was prohibited. Amics de la Terra is pleased about the judgement, which we see as a first step towards resuming community energy generation in Spain. New project to involve tourists in the conservation of Serra de Tramuntana

Amics de la Terra has initiated the new project Initiatives for the Contribution of German Tourists to the Conservation of the Serra de Tramuntana, financed by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) and in coordination with BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany) and BTE (a German tourism consultancy). Our society's dependence on oil is increasing and generating great environmental, economic and social impacts here and in the countries from which we extract it.
