Do you want to do your bit in an active way to help improve the environment?
Amics de la Terra Mallorca is an island-wide environmental association linked to Amigos de la Tierra España, which represents Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) in Spain.
FoEI is one of the most important ecological federations in the world. Founded more than 30 years ago, it has groups in more than 70 countries globally. Through these, it campaigns to preserve the environment and achieve a more egalitarian and fair world.
What can I do?
Volunteer to help administrate Amics de la Terra
- Are you good with languages? Help us to translate or make corrections in English, Spanish or Catalan.
- Can you offer to talk about our activities? Tell people about our association.
Volunteer against climate change
- Do you like to dress up and have fun? Street performances and protests.
- Is art one of your interests or hobbies? Photographic competitions, exhibitions, theatre...
- Do you want to learn or teach us about the natural corners of our island? Bike rides, hiking, visits to fincas, landmarks, conservation initiatives...
- Do you want to help reduce CO2 emissions? Reforestation, recycling, composting, organic gardening, energy saving and sustainable transport.
Volunteer to help participation and spread the word
- Do you like working with and meeting people, as well as learning about other environmental initiatives? Fairs and exhibitions; visits to centres, institutions and private fincas with environmental projects; talking about our projects.
- If you want a bigger role, become a volunteer co-ordinator.
- And if you have creativity coming out of your ears, become a creative volunteer! Contribute innovative ideas and get involved in carrying them out, or help us to make our campaigns more powerful.
