On Sunday 3 April 2016, we’ll go on the trip we had to cancel due to bad weather in February. We’ll travel around the Sierra de Tramuntana (UNESCO World Heritage Site), specifically the public estates of Son Amer and Binifaldó, using the GR-221 hiking route.
We will walk along the s’Ermita path and stop to look at the fountain. Afterwards, we’ll go up through a thousand-year-old holm-oak wood to the viewpoint dedicated to the ‘Fomento de Turismo de Mallorca’.
We will enjoy an amazing panoramic view before going back down the same way to the Son Amer refuge, where we’ll have a chance to visit the GR-221 visitor centre. At about 1.30pm, we’ll enjoy lunch at the refuge (optional).
Outing length: It’s about a 45-minute hike until the viewpoint. You must wear appropriate footwear!
IMPORTANT: We must confirm to the refuge in the week of the 21 March how many people want to have lunch. Please let us know by the 23 March if you want to eat there.
