Active outing to the Barranc de Biniaraix (November 2011)
Once again, we went to the Barranc de Biniaraix (we love it!) with volunteers and members, but this time we worked at Gori's and Felip's 'fincas'. We cleared away old, rusty railings, pruned olive trees, removed vegetation that had taken over the terraces, dug up 'cárrix' (a type of grass) and much more.
Workshop on building a solar oven
We held a workshop with the volunteers on building a solar oven. Although it doesn't seem like it, it's hard work! Luckily, we had the guidance of Marc Ayats, an environmentalist who's spent years building and investigating the construction of homemade ovens in his free time.
Workshop: making bracelets with ring pulls
At the October monthly volunteer meeting, Antònia helped us to hold a workshop on making cool bracelets with the ring pulls from drinks cans. The truth is we were really surprised how lovely they looked and that they can be re-used in such an original way. The result: beautiful, original and, above all, very cheap jewellery.
